2012 = Croatia for this American.

The last 3 years have been a crazy mixture of excitement and adventure with there fare share of twist and turns to go around. From a last minute playoff loss at the Velodrome in 2009 with the Crocodiles to a CHAMPIONSHIP in Helsinki with the Vantaa TAFT. Finland has provided me with plenty of memories, excitement, and experience. Finland also gave me something I would have never thought...a wonderful and beautiful wife. <3 In 2011 I left the forest of Finland to do battle on the Gridiron in the Owl Mountains of Poland. That season provided me with some broken records but a disappointing 3-7 season, but despite the losses it was a blast and a season I will never ever forget! In the last 3 year I have made many friends, fans and most importantly brothers.

But what is in store for this American for the summer of 2012........Zagreb, Croatia. This year I will be playing for the Zagreb, Thunder!!! I am very excited for another season of good football and adventure. Keep checking in for new updates and pictures!

2011 season wrap up.

As some of you might know my 2011 (3-7) season was not the most successful football season I have ever participated in but in many ways 2011 has been one of my personal favorite years that I have ever lived. This year I have learned to run harder, play longer and put up with much more adversity than I would have ever thought possible. The organization I played for in 2011 "The Bielawa Owls" has many great things about it. But due to some unplanned circumstances, I have not been paid my last month salary, or my flights back to America like promised in my contract. And I am not sure what I should do with it...do I keep being patient and understanding or do I act accordingly and get my flights. hummmm decisions decisions. Either way here are a couple pictures of the ending of the 2011 season.

So it has been a long season with its ups and downs. Ups being I am in Europe getting paid to play football down being my team is not necessarily ready for the level of competition that it is now involved in. There are 2 American import players on Bielawa Owls football team Jordan Stutzman and myself. The season has began a little rocky but there is actually chance for playoffs if we can manage to win out. ;) Who knows, as for now I will just update you with some pictures of the last 7 games. We are currently 3-4. And I am leading the team in rushing yards receiving yards and also a tackle leader. Whew....it has been a long season. 2011 FOOTBALL SEASON LANDS BEN JONES IN POLAND

Its been a while.

I know it has been a while but to sum everything up, in Finland 2010 I wrecked shop and my team won the championship. Next stop.... POLAND!
